Learning Beyond the Classroom

Last week, our Foundation Phase learners swapped their classrooms for an adventure and headed off on an outing to Exotic Animal World, formerly known as Butterfly World.

There was excitement, curiosity and plenty to see as our youngest learners had the opportunity to experience the natural world up close.

At Trinity Children’s Centre, we believe that education does not only happen behind a desk.

Learning also happens when children explore new places, encounter something they have never seen before, ask questions and discover that there is a much bigger world waiting for them beyond the school gates.

Experiences like these form an important part of our holistic approach to education.

We want our learners to grow academically—but we also want them to be curious, confident and engaged with the world around them.

For many children, an outing like this is not simply a fun day away from school. It is an opportunity to learn through experience, to make memories and to encounter something completely new.

And we would love to give them even more of those opportunities.

Could you help us get to the aquarium?

We are currently looking for a sponsor to help fund an outing for our learners to visit the aquarium.

The entrance fee is R100 per learner, and we would love to find an individual, business or organisation willing to help make this experience possible.

Sometimes one experience can spark a new interest, a new question or even a new dream.
